Rounding out our vacation was a trip to Ikea, where we got the cutest babies ever.  Bear has been calling his something that sounds a lot like, "Baby Otto".

"But if I ran the Zoo.."

Like father, like son.  Map lovers through and through. 

Stroller rental 100% worth it, even if they only spent a combined 12 minutes in the thing.

And the zoo at home.  Later this Gecko ran up Superman's arm and we had to take off his shirt to find him.

And the reason for all this fun!  Happy almost 30th to the love of my life!

 

 

Every night ended with Superman listening to Grandpa read from the Jesus Storybook Bible.  I loved watching those two get some snuggle time. 



 

Or maybe this is how every night ended, laughing at a boy snuggling with a giant banana.  The house we rented had this gem sitting on Superman's bed on arrival.  Our appreciation of giant bananas must be noted on the house's review.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



San Antonio!

 

Spring break Theme:  Yay for Grandma and Grandpa!  Yay for another park! 

 

Jon's parents flew in late Thursday morning, so we spent our morning doing our favorite kind of waiting...  Yep, you guessed it.  Parks and Geocaching.  You know us well. 

 

Note Bear about to hurl himself in the water.  That child knows no bounds.  I stopped him and he must have asked me five other times if he could get in.  "I in it?  Wada?  I in it, peese?"

Friday Night

Pizza, popcorn, and movie time!

 

A veggie tale movie was selected, which turned out to be too scary.  Abs: "Um, Joy, can we watch Lion King.  I'm not so familiar with this show."

 

Those kids crack me up.  :)

 

So then we watched Lion King, which also has scary parts. 

Zazu:  "Oh look, sir, the herd is on the move"

Mufasa: "Odd..."

Scar: "Mufasa, quick. Stamped.  In the gorge.  Simba's down there."

Superman (head bowed): "Please help....mumble....mumble...."

Me: "What are you saying S?  ......Are you praying?"

Superman: "Yeah.  I'm praying that Fufaka won't be dead this time."

 

In hindsight, Jon and I were probably too enamored with cuteness and didn't make the most of teachable moment about God's supremacy, because (spoiler alert!) he still died.  Maybe we'll re-visit that topic soon.
