Jon worked this past weekend in College Station helping to set up Smokey's big, big day. TFS had a few different birthday parties all over the state, but the College Station party was the grand finale. I think for my 75th, I want parties all over the state (nation?), then have a big finale as well.
We started by driving to College Station on Friday, and stopped in Waco to see the Dr. Pepper Museum and meander through Magnolia Farms.

Something about that long, thin arm makes Ollie look 14 to me in this picture.
Game break
Next we walked over to the Chip and Jo-Jo's Silos to check out Magnolia Farm.
These pictures don't show it, but it was swamped with people, no parking for blocks and blocks. It turns out that my very first time to Magnolia also happened to be Silobration, the anniversary of the silos opening. There was probably a hundred or more vendors and thousands of people.
Best part of Silobration? Ferris Wheel rides!
Nolan's first ever ride.
I think it was Seth's first Ferris Wheel as well.
The view from the top.
I spy... some Mots?
We really couldn't get into the bakery, coffee shop, or store because the crowds were HUGE. But, here are the Silos.
It was nice to get out and walk around for a while, but on to College Station.
After checking in... bowling!
And swimming!
And movie watching!
The next morning we went to celebrate this big guy.
Ollie getting after that fire. Pinata.
The boys got to help with drawing tickets for raffle winners.
Singing to Smokey.
Exiting (falling?) from the fire house.

Smokey's Crew
I was super glad we came with Jon! TFS worked so hard to celebrate Smokey and put this event on, and it did not disappoint. Lots to do for everyone. After they cut the cake the boys and I left to catch the Addams Family and swimming while Jon finished up and helped clean up. Later we all went to Urban Air, our fav trampoline park.
I feel like we have turned a corner on the terrible kid traveling. Everyone was patient, kind, good sports, good sleepers, and good car riders. I'm not the superstitious sort, but I'm also hoping I didn't just jinx future trips. Ollie has started telling Seth and Nolan, "let's be really good, because Mom will be in a better mood. And then she will probably let us do more." Hallelujah. About time someone is getting with the program. Ha!
Happy birthday again, Smokey! Not sure Jon will still be working for you on your 100th, but if you party, we will come.
