Oh man, just posting these pictures makes the back of my throat tickle and my eyes get a little teary. These last few years at Calvary made me fall back in love with teaching. I'm grateful.

End of Year Parade
My students and families had a drive by parade on what would have been the last day of school. I was glad for some closure to a bizarre year, and I really did feel so honored by the outpouring of love.

Happy Mother's Day
I am so grateful for all the wonderful mothers that our family gets to love! I have the most patient, kind, prayerful mother-in-law, who raised some outstanding kiddos. My own mother is a saint for putting up with me and my brother's antics and still choosing to own us. She has been a great teacher throughout life on the many tasks a busy woman, Christian, wife, and mom juggles. My Aunt Joyce also deserves to make this list as another strong female role model that poured into me my entire life. And of course I would be remiss not to mention 3 extremely important birth moms that have greatly shaped and changed our family for the better. Thank you! Without you, I would never have know motherhood from the other side!
I got to pick the plans for the day at my house, which included hiking, a picnic, and ice cream. (Seth is NOT a fan of hiking and chose to stay home, so is not in any pictures.)
Getting started!
The boys were HUGE fans of Jon's camelback.
Guess who fell in this creek?
Yep. Nolan. :)
Ollie's been to this very stump before!

On to ice cream!
And my goodie basket at home: cheese, liquor, and new a soda stream cartridge. Only the good stuff!
I'm thankful to be celebrated! Thanks family!

Introducing the Newest Department Head
Celebratory surprise dinner!
Jon got a little help measuring this Honeylocust on the Tech campus.
Apparently, it's still going strong as the state Champ.

78th Street
We sold our house! The first couple weeks on the market were during the height of quarantine, and we hardly had any interest or showings. Once Texas did it's partial re-opening, we had one or two showings a day and we were under contract by the end of that week. I felt super relieved as we had such a slow start. The option ends Monday evening and we close on June 8th if all goes according to plan.
Jon saved all the pictures from our Realtor, and of course I've got to post them because someday I bet I'll forget how great this house was.
