MT:12 & 13

Just a couple of kids spending the morning in Big Fork! We went to check out the arts and crafts show.

Early morning rides to change the hoses and water.

Hike time! We only made it up about a third of the way before someone needed a piggy back. We will see you next time, Strawberry Lake!

Another pretty day exploring!

Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch

Just because we aren't in Montana doesn't mean we've just been sitting around and getting fat. We've found plenty of things to occupy our time as well.

Hard to beat donuts for breakfast...especially when they are Best Donuts!

A little bit of jumping and dodgeball at the trampoline park.

A bike ride or two.

Lunch at Cracker Barrel, his new favorite restaurant.

Our first tomato harvest. Tiny tomatoes or giant hands...you decide.

Several trips to the library and lots of time reading.

And just one minor injury to report.

All in all, things have been good and we've had fun together, but we can't wait for our favorite people to be back home in just a few days.

MT:11

Getting our fishing gear ready!

Ollie was pretty squeamish about those night crawlers, while Nolan was fascinated.

4 poles in the water, but nothing was biting. We did see something like a muskrat, a tiny little turtle, and an osprey catch a fish though.

Ollie has declared that fishing is not his thing and compared it to watching paint dry. Nolan and Ollie spent most of the time running and making American Ninja Warrior courses.

We found another zip line! Man, those Kalispell city parks have some fun ideas.

Lunch at Flathead Lake Brewery. Seriously good eats.

Short hike after lunch to the lake.

Mimi and Ollie made a couple dozen of these delicious mini donuts. Yummmm.

Nolan making sure none of the pets feel left out.

Momo and Ollie going for an evening kayak after dinner and donuts. Nolan and I walked down the steps by the deck to swap and go for a ride after they were done. Nolan got in the kayak after Ollie got out, which made for an awkward situation because I needed to get in first so he could sit in my lap. Long story short, Nolan fell in. Nobody freak out. He had on his life jacket and I grabbed him in 5 seconds. His head never even went under. But boy oh boy, Momo and I could not make eye contact because we were both wanting to bust out laughing so bad.

Warm bath, ice cream, more donuts, and snuggling with Momo make it all better.

MT:10

Early morning casting

Gah. This kid, sooo cute.

I must say, this seemed a little ingenious. Momo's chores included watering the flowers next to both sides of the barn, so why not just shower water all over the roof to gently rain down on the flowers?

Plus this idea was definitely grandson approved.

Lunch with my cousin Erica and her daughters Makaila and Katelyn at Norm's News.

And then into the pool!

MT:6

Park playing before church at Lawrence Park. Made us think of some of our favorite people!

Super cool zip line swing. Momo's (and Nolan's) first zip line was a rip roaring success!

Hot chocolate and Perkins pancakes for bfast.

Ollie has turned into quite the Rhino driver. He is waaaaay proud of himself.

Coin collector to coin collector. Momo surprised Ollie with a book of wheat pennies and Ollie was shocked and thrilled.

Couch time snuggling before bedtime!
