Your Vote Needed
I'm talking family photos. I don't dabble in unloading my political ideas on others. You're welcome.
If, hypothetically, we planned on giving some pictures to our family for Christmas, what picture would you give? If (also hypothetically), you are a family member who will receive said present, let it be known that your vote will count double.
Thanks for taking part in the democratic process.

"Aren't you going to wait and greet the Great Pumpkin?"
My kids were not nearly as excited as I was to be visiting a pumpkin patch.
Me: "Look! Wow! Do you see all those pumpkins? How cool! Which ones do you want to look at first?"
Them: (staring blankly at me, then at pumpkins, then at me)
Me: "Let's go over to the really big pile of pumpkins! We can touch them!"
SuperMan: (monotone) "why?"
Me: "Because we can see what they feel like! Do you think they will be bumpy or smooth? Do you think we can pick one up?"
SuperMan: "they be bumpy and heavy" (if he was old enough, he would have thrown a duh in there)
Bear: (continues to stare blankly)
So the conversation at the pumpkin patch wasn't exactly riveting, but we did finally warm up a tad bit to the idea of walking around and looking at pumpkins.
Bear is currently afraid of any and all scarecrows. Even friendly looking ones. (Especially friendly looking ones?) At Wal-Mart, Maxey Park, the Science Spectrum, the pumpkin patch, and in books he picks them out, and begins his two-step routine. He starts by saying, "I'm scary!", complete with his arms folded across his chest and a grimace on his face. Then he psyches himself up to go and hug it. "Hug, peese? Hug carecrow?" And repeat. If you see him eyeing a scarecrow, just stand back and enjoy the show.
Please note the "organic piles" of pumpkins in the background. No, we did not go to the pumpkin patch full of rows. For we have learned from Linus, "He'll come here because I have the most sincere pumpkin patch and he respects sincerity."
We agree. Around here we respect sincere pumpkin patches and staged pictures. :)

Inspiration is Everywhere
Halloween Ideas
Round One:
"I'ma be a Polar Bear, Owlie can be a pirate. Mama, you be a superhero. Ababa can be a bunny."
Round Two:
"Mama, you can be a baked potato. I be a robot. Ababa can be a Fireman, and Owlie can be Arthur."
Round Three:
"Let be fireman. No, Owlie, mama, ababa be fireman. I'ma be a lion."
We've finally settled.
We've got two lions, a lion tamer, and I'll be selling tickets to the circus. We like to keep things pretty close to home around here. ;)
Spoiler Alert!

Bday Re-Cap
SuperMan helped me make his birthday cake. Here is his best line: "Mama, why you makin' that a lot of pretty?" Later he told me, "Don't get (forget) the fire." I momentarily panicked and thought he wanted a fire truck cake like his brother, but quickly realized he meant candles. :)
First slam dunk of his career.
Pizza! Cake! Friends!
Enjoying the presents!
