Last weekend we had a quick trip to Oklahoma City to meet up with Jon's parents for a few fun-filled days. Our kids were great travelers, and Superman made up for all the consternation he gave us in Costa Rica. :)
Jon's parents are a big encouragement to us. For me at least, it's always surprising to hear what they are up to. They are some of the most laid back, go-with-the-flow people you will ever meet, but they are always coming up with new ways to serve Jesus and have lives that are full of ministry. They regularly participate in teaching at a jail ministry and nursing home ministry, as well as running a Christian organization for kids and adults in their small town. I'm sure some of those avenues of serving Jesus don't come natural or easy for their personalities, which makes their service all the more humbling in my opinion.
Anywho... here is day one of our fun.
