Here he is. The first kid in this family to reach the double
digits.
Seth is imaginative, determined, compassionate, and smart. He is most in his element with any kind of STEM project. He’s our nature-lover and an outside of the box thinker. He is deeply loved and has many in his corner cheering him on.
Back to school season for this kiddo is met with much
anxiety and trepidation. Although he wishes this were not true, this has also
led to challenges with staying safe and participating in school.
Let me fast forward to the present; Seth is participating in
a long-term therapy program outside of our home. Although everyone on team Seth
agrees this is our current best course of action, our hearts are heavy. Sorrow,
grief, guilt and sadness are in a constant brain swirl. But we also feel pride
at being reminded of Seth’s determination and seeing him positively transition
to a new school and therapy program. We will always continue to cheer him on.
As ever, we love him deeply and see enormous potential in him.
These pictures are from last weekend when Jon and I went to
visit. It was not the way any of us imagined celebrating his 10th
birthday, but some love-filled days none the less.
Love you Seth!
