This completely cracks me up. Snow day! But we were oh so grateful for it! We spent a long weekend in Denver and I drove home with the boys Monday, so it was unexpected and wonderful to get a day of rest right smack in the middle of the week.
Our morning started with hot chocolate, a roaring fire, and me beating Ollie in Ticket to Ride. We moved on to playing batman match with Nolan, making monkey bread, and having an "epic" (one of Ollie's fav words) lego battle. Ollie won that. We watched the Chiefs celebration parade, the most awesome, yet totally boring parade ever. Quite convenient that we had the day off to watch! Go Chiefs!
We ended the day with wii Monopoly (Seth won), a quick visit from some friends, and I introduced the boys to one of my favorite movies as a child, The Little Mermaid. What did I tell you? Throw in my after lunch nap and doesn't that sound like the best day ever?
