Grandma!
and Grandpa!
There was lots of fun to be had on the farm in Missouri,
gravel to be moved,
and roads to be constructed.
Of course there was a fair amount of napping,
mixed in with lots and lots...
of playing outside.
We had a really nice trip and I was happy that everything went so smoothly without Jon for the first part of the trip. The boys and I spent the night in Oklahoma City and swam to our hearts content, only stopping for a McDonalds dinner. I tucked the boys in bed that night and Wild Kratts, Seth's favorite show, just happened to be on PBS. I think they boys' minds were a little blown by the wonder of it all. :)
We also loved our time at the farm with grandma and grandpa. We went swimming in town one day while everyone was at work, and I marveled at the busyness of a small town pool. I was a life guard one summer in college in Forest, Ohio, and we would have around 5 swimmers a day. Not so with hopping Hamilton, Missouri!
Grandma and grandpa unfortunately had to work some of the days we were visiting, and I am kicking myself that me and the boys didn't drive over to Joy and BJ's for a day. We only got to see them for a little while, as they came Thursday and Jon and I went to Columbia on Friday. Next time, Joy and BJ! Next time!! Seth and Ollie were both thoroughly impressed with BJ's knowledge in all things Ninja Turtles and are still talking about it.
We love you grandma and grandpa! Looking forward to when you get to come down!
