We've been having lots of lovely rainy days here, which makes me lazy to my bones. Couple our weather with detoxing from vacation, and you can find us wrapped up on the couch surrounded by books.
We had a great time on our MO trip and Jon on his big nine states nine days adventure, but of course when we came home our internet wasn't working and we haven't figured out why, so I think I'll wait to sort those pictures/memories. (Side note: this seems like it happens to us frequently. Any guesses on why we come home to disfunctional internet so often?)
Thus far today we have spent time at Discount Tire, getting a flat repaired that we also had repaired two days ago. Ollie is now a "tire-worker man" and when I say things like, "Ollie, it's lunch time" he responds by saying in singsong, "I think you are forgetting somefin" and then I say, "tire-worker man, it's time for lunch". Such is life with a tire-worker man and a child with multiple personas.
We also went to the bank so I could deposit some checks and so the boys could cash in their pennies from Momo. Seth was excited to see his dollar bills and Ollie disappointed that they took all his money and gave him so little back in return.
We also went to the library, where among other things we got JK's new book, The Silkworm. Jon and I both thoroughly enjoyed Cuckoos Calling too. No wizardry with spells, just in character development and plot.
Now I'm also remembering that we went to the grocery store and this long list is starting to make me think it hasn't been as lazy of a day as I thought. I guess beginning the day by turning on pbs and taking a nap before it's even 9am makes one feel lazy, despite the rest of the days' redeeming qualities. In my defense I did stay up late trying to wait up for Jon, who was watching the replay of the USA game with some friends, and the boys got up a combined total of four times in the night. That never happens. Weird. At one point I was carrying Ollie ("mama, don't you mean tire-worker man??") back to bed and almost stepped on Seth who was laying on the floor by our bedroom door. It scared me to death and I have no idea why he was there. Or no idea who came first. The Ollie or the Seth?
Here's a selfie of me with a new uber short haircut I got yesterday and my tire-worker mans jar of pennies. We look excited!
