On to the Texas Gulf and the beach!
We met up with our friends again, which makes everything 500 times more fun.
Mark my words, Eryn and I will have a beach picture like this when we are 80.
Playground time and a walk along the pier.
As always, a meal at Lelo's was in order. Delicious as usual, but they were out of fried cheese curds! :(
Best candy shop in Texas!
Our favorite tourist shop.
Lots of playing in the surf!
We had a great hermit crab adventure. Lincoln was looking for shells and both Nolan and Mason pulled up a shell with a hermit crab living in it. We then realized how easy it was to spot the crabs in the surf and began to catch them. We had various levels of bravery as we began 2 hours of hunting, picking up, and then (optional) screaming as we ran the crabs to the bucket.
Every single thing you see in this bucket is a hermit crab. We had well over 200 crabs!!
Before we left the beach for the day, we let them all go and watched them suck back into the wet sand or scuttle back to the surf.
Ollie found a different type of crab/snail?? The boys' faces crack me up!
All the boys can play for hours, but Nolan and Lincoln have always had such a sweet friendship.
The Mikels have become sandcastle experts and have taught us their ways.
Until next year!
