Summer Sundries

Well, apparently I think they are more important than sundries, because I am going to go ahead and individually mention them.

Swim Lessons!  Seth is officially waterproof.  He has been working on smoothing out his strokes and can now dive.

Ollie can now swim a teeny bit, but the process has greatly freaked him out.  He is comfortable swimming with me and will stretch himself and swim in longer and longer stretches to me, but isn't about to let some high school/college age swim instructor sweet talk him into anything.

For the record, Seth is the exact opposite and would have never learned to swim if it had only been up to me.

We went to a Wild Kratt event at the Science Spectrum.  They boys had fun, but we didn't stay long as it was crazy packed.

We've hit up the theatre for $1 movies.

We've had Lucy and Hannah stay with us for respite.

And we've done some park playing, although not very much as it's getting to be too dang hot way too early in the day!

a la Robyn

It seems that after a few weeks of using our blog as an Instgram feed, my brain and fingers don't want their job back.
Shame on you, lazy fingers.

We got home from our MT adventure just in time as our good buddy Robyn flew to Lubbock the same day we got home.
We did fun low key stuff, like going to the drive-in to see the Minion Movie.  Two thumbs up from the Motsinger clan.  It had lots of idiotic slap stick, which seems to be our favorite.  Also, this was the first time we took our boys to a drive-in and I was a little nervous about the repercussions of keeping my two minions up until 11.  Seth amazed everyone and slept until 9:15 the next morning and Ollie can still rock an afternoon nap, so the drive in is officially on our approved list.

We met up with friends for lunch.

And of course these two puzzle masters spent an evening working on quaint San Francisco.  I corrupted the evening by only working on easy puzzle parts and making everyone watch Veep.

We had some friends over for dinner.

Mexican corn, people.  I don't know if I can ever go back to plain 'ol butter.

It was so good to be able to catch up with Robyn, but Jon and I are hoping that some day we can do so on her turf!

And PS-  Seth is now ridiculously good at standing on his head.
