Nashville!

My college buddies and I had a girls trip in Nashville! I am so very proud of ourselves for planning and pulling this off; usually we go for 5 years before all getting together, and even then it's usually wedding or baby related.

Megan trolled through facebook and found all these darling pictures of us when we were tiny babies, just fresh little Missouri Tigers finding our footing.

Nary a forehead wrinkle or saggy neck! Our glory days, I tell ya!

Now here is a slew of daring pictures of us, all right around 40. We can look back at this batch when we are 80 and talk about how young and cute we are, before knee and hip replacements.

Beth and I both flew out of Austin, so our party got to start early!

Megan cracking up about who knows what on the porch of our darling airbnb.

Look at all the lovely flowers in the front yard!

We went to the Grand ol Opry! I don't care much about country music, but still had a blast. It had so much history and seemed like such a real event, like something people put on their bucket lists.

Matching shirt! Eeek, we are the biggest cutie pies!

Overall, we could have been anywhere, a shack in Oklahoma or a trailer in Wyoming. We sat around and talked and talked about all the things. I don't even need to tell you how lovely it was and how much I love all of these ladies.

Here is Jessie's take on all the adventuring. Her quote, "My pals are all so amazing and being together was like a validation of my history in a way that felt like I was getting back a piece of myself." is the exact right and best way to describe the weekend. (Also, I'm very impressed Jessie. When I went to your blog to link your post to my blog, you had already blogged two more times! What does it feel like to be that on-the-ball??!?)

Hopefully we don't wait another 5 years to meet up again!
