2 Months!

Look at this little Sweet Potato!  Noley is officially two months old and officially a super baby.

Nolan, here is a snapshot of your life at 2 months.
Your brothers adore you.  Ollie loves to smell you.  We have to make him stop.  Seriously.
You are a heavy night sleeper!  Halleluiah!  You sleep up to nine hours a night already!
Your belly sometimes hurts you after a bottle.  Maybe reflux? We are gonna talk to the doc about it at your appointment on Friday.
You are so sweet and smiley! You are starting to make the best cooing noises!
You looooooove your swing, both when awake or during a nap.
Your second love would have to be ceiling fans.
You prefer to be held or in your swing during naps.  No thanks to the crib during the day.
You are kinda eh on a paci, but love sucking on your hands.
You are rocking it at tummy time.  You will have total head and neck control in no time!
You are getting long!  I am excited to see how much you weight and your length at your appointment.
You are inconsistent on feedings, sometimes 2 ounces, sometimes up to 4 ounces.
You smile right as you are falling asleep.
You weigh 11.4 pounds (50th percentile) and are 24.6 inches (90th percentile).
You are loved!

Smiley One and Smiley Two

The Scientist

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Eleanor Roosevelt

Seth, the inventor.

Ollie: Oh Seth! You are looking so cute! Why are you looking so cute today?
Seth: Because I am an inventor, Ollie. And inventors just look cute.

Weekend Work

Brotherly love! Lots of time playing with Noley!

Love this one! Smiles for miles!

Seth is super into gardening and plants right now. He bought some flower seed packets at a plant sale that he's been looking forward to shopping at for weeks.

Another fun, quirky, sciencey, kid thing Seth has been into is clouds. He has done a little research into the four cloud types and made a list and diagram for himself which he keeps in his pocket to refer to during the day.  Cumulus and Nimbus clouds were spotted this weekend.

Invention time! Seth also spent the better part of the day creating a flying hover board. Clearly no dice, or this would have been the first thing I told you about. :)

We are also in the home stretch of the bathroom remodel! Jon worked so hard this weekend on finishing up the woodwork and wainscoting. It turned out so nice!

             Caulk and paint time!

Ollie and I also played school and here is a list of things he was going to teach me about. He wrote this all by himself and I was so impressed.  I'll let you guess and see if you can tell me what he wrote.

Snapshots

We are all pretty smitten with Nolan.  Here are some pictures of the last two or three weeks.

Ollie is baby gah-gah.  He prides himself on being a big helper, to the point of being totally underfoot.  :)

Jon's birthday!  First day Noey was here!

Jon and I on a quick afternoon date with Noey.  Jennifer babysat the boys and when we returned she said Ollie just sulked the whole time saying, "I just want to look at my baby!" and "When is my baby coming home?"

Ollie and Nolan, living it up in the frog pond.

He's been a good little sleeper!  From the first night he has gone 5-7 hours at night!  We are thankful!

More of Ollie playing with Nolan.

Seth's been an awesome big brother as well, just not as baby crazed as Ollie.

I could probably post 3 new pictures a week that look like this, just with different clothes.

Cuddle bug!

His hair isn't standing straight up anymore!

Some bunny loves you.

Jon, just getting home from a 2 week work trip.  We were all so glad to see him!

Jon's good friend, Dylan with his baby Henry.  Nolan and Henry are one month apart in age.

Big Kid Ollie

Ollie happened to be home from pre-k when Lissa came to photograph Noey and got in on the action, too.  What a great kid.  Funny, personable, compassionate, conservative, smart, and kind; we are blessed to call him son.
