You guys! We planned a weekend away for ourselves in downtown Austin around Jon's birthday. It was such a fun night! Ollie and Nolan stayed with their good buddy Owen, and Seth stayed home over night alone for the first time. We celebrated Jon's by checking out a few breweries, a great restaurant or two, and just spending time together. Life can be such a crazy whirlwind, it's always good to see we still enjoy each other's company after almost 20 years. ;)
This brewery reminded me of the Hog's head for very obvious reasons.
We walked around Rainy Street, which was where our hotel was and we were the only almost 40 year olds out there. 10% of the people were retirement age, everyone else was very early twenties and all had tiny shirts that showed their bellies. (Everything about this post is screaming my age... comments on young people these days, their crazy fashions, and the fact that I am writing about it on a decade old blog. Hahaha!) Anyway, we had a blast. Happy late birthday, Jon! I'm glad to still be in love with you!
