Luckily, I took mine out of the oven about 15 minutes early right after I heard a loud pop, and it collapsed on top of the oven rather than in the oven. That green skillet happened to be sitting on top of the oven and thankfully it was the perfect size for me to plop my collapsing pumpkin into. Whew, a close one, I tell ya. I will totally try this again in the future because it was so fun and novel, plus everybody really loved it! Can I tell you how rare it is for my boys to like a casserole? I don't think its ever happened before.
