Grumpy

These pictures won't paint a picture of our morning, so I feel I better let my words do so.  We are at the two week point with two new kids and it's safe to say the honeymoon is over.  Ollie, a playful extrovert, is sequestering himself in his room to play.  Seth is having adjustments all over his world as his kindergarten teacher broke her foot and he has had different subs for the last ten days.  That poor guy just wants to come home and play Uno and Skip-bo for 2 straight hours and is sad that can't happen.  Our new littles are learning to trust us more and are more attached, thus wanting more.  It's kinda like, "Hey!  They pick me up and kiss me when I fall!  I like that!  I'm gonna do that lots!" only applied to every area, not just owies.

Everyone slept terrible for the first week and a half, but the last two or three nights have been pretty good sleep, for which we are thankful!  I feel like Jon and my patience was greater during the no sleep phase though, and we have been feeling grumpy as well the last few days.  Oh well.  Such is life adjusting to new kids in foster care.

It hasn't been without many bright spots, though!  Shawn has learned a surprising number of words in his short time here and now tries to say please.  Jaylynn has also picked up lots of family skills in a short amount of time and is settling into the roll of kid, rather than chief caregiver to Jayshawn.

And now let's look at some pictures that remind me of more bright spots!
