Crib for Sale

You guys. We no longer need a crib. It’s seems surreal after five years of foster care, and baby Ollie before that. Good thing our cousins are planning on visiting soon and Layla can use it, otherwise that crib will just start calling for another baby.

We really didn’t have any plans to transition Nolan to a bigger bed, but I walked in his room a few days ago and he was straddling the crib wall, with a look of indecision on his face. Hmmm... in or out?

We tried the twin bed last night and while he was really excited to read books in a new spot, when we tried to tuck him in after a few songs, he bolted for his crib screaming and crying the whole way. I can’t even type that without chuckling. Poor kiddo, he was sad and confused, but the fleeing was hilarious.

Ollie (the most excited person ever) is so thrilled to be sharing his room again. He was dancing around in a silent victory dance blowing Nolan kisses and doing fist pumps after he realized Noey had fallen asleep.

We also found out today at an appointment with an ENT that Ollie would be a great candidate for having his tonsils removed. Ollie could barely contain himself and his excitement in the doctors office. We’ve got it on the books for June 20th; send all the ice cream and Legos as recovery sounds a little more intense than I was expecting. No activity for three weeks, days 7-10 after surgery you feel the worst. Bummer to be out of commission in the summer but I figured it was better than missing weeks of school.

Okay! I’m off to watch basketball. March madness has got my name on it this year! Ain’t no way Carol is taking home the victory three years in a row!
